The Draft Queensland Coastal Plan has been developed in response to a statutory review of the existing State Coastal Management Plan. The review process was completed in 2008. In response to the review findings, the Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability announced in May 2009 that a new Queensland Coastal Plan would be prepared.
