Why has the Cuba program been suspended?
The Bush Administration has just issued new regulations governing academic programs in Cuba. These regulations are effectively closing down most programs, including the Institute for Study Abroads program. The new educational travel regulations result in our no longer being able to operate our semester program at the Universidad de La Habana, effective August l5, 2004. This regrettable situation is one that none of us could have predicted, particularly on such short notice.
