Why has the ARPA Continuous Professional Learning System been initiated?
• The CPLS has been developed in response to an expressed desire on the part of ARPA members to engage in ongoing professional learning leading to enhanced competency in both general knowledge of current issues in recreation practice and specific knowledge pertaining to specialties within the field. • This desire was consistently articulated in the series of studies carried out as part of the Alberta Recreation Industry Labour Market Project, 2002-2005.
