Why has the anti-perspirant aerosol spray button blocked or stopped working and can I fix it?

Anti-perspirant aerosols must be shaken well before use to disperse the antiperspirant powder inside the can. Failure to shake can cause the button to clog. If this happens carefully remove the button and soak it in warm-hot water for as long as possible (e.g. a couple of hours) to try to dissolve the blockage. Dry the outside of the button and preferably allow it to dry in a warm place for as long as possible (e.g. a couple of hours or overnight) and then carefully replace it on the can. Always point the nozzle away from your face when removing or applying the button.
