Why has SmoothTunnel Road Warrior Support changed in Version 2.0?
Prior to version 2.0 SmoothWall did not as standard support multiple green sub-nets. Most large users require multiple sub-nets, either to segregate user communities (departments) or they have more than 254 users. SmoothTunnel was changed so that Road Warrior uses could route to multiple sub-nets. This requires that each Road Warrior be allocated an IP address on Corporate Servers Green (local) network. Most other VPN gateways do the same type of thing. So now it is necessary to configure a tunnel for each Road Warrior, which does allow individual Road Warriors to be identifiable on the SmoothTunnel Control page and hence allow the connection to be properly managed.
