We are as excited as anyone about the success of A Little Less Conversation. We had great hopes that offering a modern remix version by a leading DJ would be the ultimate tribute to Elvis Presley. This has so far proven to be the beginning of what we hope is a resurgent interest in Elvis’ music by a new generation of fans. In reality, we had never planned for wide distribution of the single. We shipped a total of 300,000 units – an unprecedented amount for any artist in the small US singles market. The reason that we decided not to ship more units is that single sales in the US have dwindled to a point where it becomes uneconomical to distribute them – no matter how successful they are. Our pulling away from retail shelf space, however, does not mean that we will not continue promoting A Little Less Conversation to become a certified #1 radio hit in the US.
