Why has Paul Taylor made the Mahaiwe his Berkshire home?
First, Paul loves the Berkshires. And he loves the Mahaiwe, because it is a real theatre. His company is welcomed with open arms, the tech staff and house staff are totally professional. His appearance here Memorial Day was a first class presentation with sensational lighting, scenery and special effects. Right, and that is the work of Matthew Adelson our theatre production manager. They send him the lighting plot. He prepares the lights, and adapts everything to fit our smaller stage – it is generous, but it’s no City Center stage so adjustments are ongoing with the choreography too.
