Why has Northland College decided to charge students for printing?

NCTC is no longer able to absorb all the costs for printing. Pcounter has been initiated to help cut down printing wastes and to make people more accountable for what they print. There are many wasted printouts left at the printers unclaimed, and sometimes printers are used for non-academic purposes. The college would also like to encourage students to start using electronic tools such as saving documents to flash drives and CD’s, emailing the document to yourself, or saving it to your network drive provided by the college.
