Because Novartis (the manufacturer of Lufenuron) chose to market Lufenuron as a flea control product (Program®) rather than as a treatment for candidiasis. This is not because Lufenuron isn’t the safest, most effective treatment for candidiasis available. It is because there is much more profit to be made in flea control medications than in treatments for candidiasis.
