Why has Intel expanded its Matching Gifts to Education program to include DonorsChoose.org?

The Intel Foundation partnered with DonorsChoose.org as an option for Intel employees to be able to support education programs across the country, not just in their local community. DonorsChoose.org’s unique approach uses the web to connect K-12 public school teachers in need of classroom materials with donors willing to help. We saw this as a natural extension to our existing Matching Gifts to Education program that is currently administered by the JK Group.
