Why has GM decided to stop using the previous SI Stand-alone application and transition to DVD ?

0

The previous SI Stand-alone application was introduced several years ago as a backup in case of high SI web site usage and as an access method for technicians who may not have had Internet access. Since January 1, 2005 the SI web site is the primary access method for GM service information, and the previous SI Stand-alone application and incremental updates have been discontinued. The site is now updated daily and has been improved for more robust performance and reliability. For these reasons the SI web site is the preferred method of technician access to GM service information.
