Why has FanFare shrunk? Where are the weekend daytime program listings?
When postal rates went up we had a significant, unexpected increase in mailing costs for FanFare. In an effort to keep costs in line with what we have been spending in the past, we decided that it was necessary to cut down the size of the guide in order to use the Post Office’s “letter-sized” bulk mail rate. Reducing the overall size of the publication without adding extra pages meant cutting some content. We decided that cutting the weekend daytime listings was preferable to cutting out the photo/highlight boxes or cutting program descriptions overall.
