Why Golden Vineyards?
I had lots of experience growing organic fruits and vegetables before getting into the wine business. Part of the process of my becoming a winemaker had a lot to do with farming. Ive been buying fruit from the Fairbairn Ranch for over ten years, and Ive witnessed the Goldens continuity of quality; their daily practice doesnt vacillate with the market, its all about making great wine grapes. Most vineyard owners in this industry would not or have not been able to stay dedicated to these principles of responsible farming like the Goldens. Theyve set a consistent business standard to develop the ultra-premium wines farmed sustainably in certified organic and Biodynamic vineyards. Weve been able to sell wines made from fruit from the Golden properties at double the open market price. As a winemaker, why go Biodynamic? Biodynamic farming takes organics to another level.
