Why GFRC Rock over natural?
There are many advantages to using GFRC (glass fiber reinforced cement) products in comparison to natural rock. Below are some answers to our FAQ’s: 1. GFRC is more durable than real rock. 2. GFRC will not erode or cause staining. 3. GFRC is much stronger in compression and tensile strength. Our product strength is 8,000-11,000 PSI. 4. GFRC is 10% of the weight of real rock. 5. Predictable finished product 6. Natural rock has many grout joints. GFRC has very few. 7. Natural rock leaks – GFRC will not. 8. The color capabilities with GFRC are unlimited. 9. Color can be kept pristine,using high quality sealers, or can be left to fade naturally. 10. Natural rock is more porous. 11. GFRC is very dense, reducing the possibility of calcium, salts and other build ups common on natural rock.
