Why follow the bible when it is full of contradictions?

If you take the time to examine the original scripture in the Greek and Hebrew you would see no contradictions. Modern translation is sometime a bit different on a word here and there. The meaning , the hope, the instruction is still the same. The KJV bible has been around many many years and only lately has it been criticized as being imperfect. The atheists want the bible to be wrong because they want to live any way they want without condemnation. The bible is the true word of God and it changes lives for the better. Many have died to give us the bible, men have tried in vain to destroy it throughout the ages. The modern translations and transliterations have done injustice to it, but the KJV and NKJV are still stellar in values and truth.

When I need a break from my studies in the manuscripts, often I download the lists of so-called contradictions, just to answer them – its a hobby. So, although there aren’t any, I HAVE found out why these contradictions are thought to be accurate, and this is why: 1. They have no understanding of what they read – they choose to ignore the subject and object of what is being discussed. 2. They do not understand the Hebrew, Greek, or Chaldee. In addition, they do not understand the Aramaic that is grisled with Hebrew after the captivity ended in Babylon. 3. They are not aware or familiar with idioms or figures of speech used in all the languages. Sayings that were common at the time, they completely read over. 4. They are in the Bible for the sole effort of pulling out things that don’t appear right to them; therefore, they pull out even obvious ones that are explained a paragraph before, or a paragraph later. 5. They do not realize that when trying to translate from the original languag

it never ceases to amaze me, that people want to have proof from us that God exists, but when we ask you for examples of contradictions, we don’t get any. And for those who do seem to think things are contradictory in scripture has to remember this- for example in the 4 gospels- there are eyewitnesses on Christ- and all 4 are not written the exact same way, but that does not make it contradictory- for example- if the 2 of us had a mutual friend, and we were at the same party- you would speak of your experience while at that party, and I would share mine- it would be at the same place, but we may have seen our mutual friend at a different moment of the party- doing something a bit different.

Oh yes… the old lame “contradiction” argument. What you don’t seem to understand is that there is much more to Biblical Christianity than opening a book and trying to follow what it says. The Christian experience begins with an actual encounter with God that totally changes your life. Your sins are forgiven, and you become a new creature in Christ—the old things pass away, and the new things begin. The Holy Spirit then resides within you, and He begins to lead you into all Truth. He makes the Scriptures come alive, and through them—God speaks to you. Without any of this taking place, The Bible is never going to appear to be anything more than some archaic book—filled with contradictions.

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words I [Jesus] have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel [good news of salvation], for it is THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION FOR EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES. We are born again, forgiven, have eternal life and God’s presence in our life, and promises of his blessing in this life and in heaven. All this is clear to us believers, and it is, as Jesus said, the pearl of great price for the person who finds it. As for those who don’t believe, as Jesus said, his words will judge them when they face God at the Judgment. (You can see what Jesus and his apostles said about those who follow false prophets and their hope of salvation; basically it is one of the most foolish things a person can do – what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?).
