Why flood on Orchard Road? What should be done?
This is because of a choked drain somewhere in Orchard Road. This happened because the heavy rain blocked the drain. The other reason is that there were 3 earthquakes in the Papua province of Indonesia, causing a tsunami which also added up to this flood. To prevent this, the government of Singapore should set up drains that never get choked. Even high-class restaurants like the Wendy’s was affected by the flood. It caused a millions of dollars of loss to the restaurant. Not only that, many shopping malls were also affected. Many vehicles were toppled down by the flood and some drained in the flood. This resulted in the owner of the vehicles to send the for for a repair. Some had no choice but to purchase another one. It has been confirmed that it will take 4 complete weeks to turn this Orchard River back to Orchard Road. Singaporeans are shocked because this is an unexpected incident.
