We are using Family Tree DNA because they are one of only a few major DNA companies specializing in genealogy. The price is discounted for members of a surname projecct, they use the same lab as the National Geographic Genographics study, and they are the oldest company doing this work in the U.S. They also responded very quickly and personally to questions about setting up the project.
