Why families chose home education?
Parents consider home education for a variety of reasons. You may have children in the public school system and have become unhappy with academic standards and social issues such as bullying and peer pressure. Your child may have special learning needs which have not been addressed adequately in school. Families choose to educate at home due to religious reasons and a desire to provide a faith based education. Other families have philosophical differences with the public school model they believe a child centered education, where children are allowed to learn at their own pace and follow their interests, is superior.
