Why exactly does the US still have an embargo against Cuba, don we trade with Communist China?
Good point! I think it’s mostly hurt feelings from when they nationalized the assets of US businesses in Cuba and the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. Embargos don’t work well against srongman dictatorships. The people suffer, but the leader still gets everything he wants. Plus as the nation becomes more isolated it is easier for the leader to control it with an iron grip. It seems like failed policy to me.
