Why shouldn’t “these children” work alongside children who are more academically capable? Children who have special needs DO still have feelings. What do you want authorities to do? Dump all the children with additional needs in a room together and hope they can socialise? They don’t “struggle”, they will follow an IEP and will have regular visits with a SENCO and will have a TA who will help the child 1:1. Whilst I understand your concern about this boy’s aggression, you do need to realise that children with additional needs aren’t not normal, they simply don’t know how to manage their behaviour, hence this little boy bites. Also, I am pretty certain that now measures will be in place to remove the child away from others at the first sign of him getting agitated. Not all children who have autism have difficulty speaking and socialising with other children, some children have autism and it’s barely even noticed. Would you like it if people in wheelchairs weren’t allowed in Tesco becaus
