Why Exactly Are People With Terminal Illnesses And Mental Retardation Allowed To Live?
For people born with severe mental retardation and other long terminal illnesses; strictly speaking why do we keep them alive. We know they will never get better and they cannot contribute anything to society so why waste billions of dollars for their long term health care when the money can ge used on those who are still able to live full lives. I’m sorry to say it but that’s how I feel and if god forbid I lose my physical abilities or become brain damaged I wish people would take my life away.
