Why establish a theater in Washington, DC?
Founder, Deborah Kirby, originally moved to DC because she fell in love with the city and with the vast number of theaters available to her to work as an actress. This was an exciting theater town with lots of different kinds of work being produced and the town didn’t hold all of the stress and harshness that she found while living in New York. Deborah was and is constantly drawn to the real-life drama of living in the nation’s capital. In DC, decisions are being made that affect the entire world! What better or more challenging place to be to stage drama that will potentially touch the lives of people everywhere.
