In some tests we are able to assess colours of images given by a lens on the basis of its transmission measurements. As our editorial office lacks such an expensive tool as a spectrophotometer we have managed to measure the transmission just for some lenses. When it comes to the image vividness and bokeh, it would be difficult to measure them objectively. In most cases they depend on geometric and light conditions, not on a lens, so the same device used in different situations can give images deemed by some as good (taking into account vividness and bokeh only, of course) and by others as horrible. The notions of vividness and bokeh are confused by many people with the notions of the depth of field and vignetting. That’s why you often hear an opinion about mythical vividness of full frame. Such vividness is simply a result of the most shallow depth of field and the highest vignetting.
