Why dont Yahoo provide subtitles on their news video clips?

0

It’s partly lack of demand for subtitles, but the cost factor and the fact that Yahoo pulls their news videos from other sources probably play the biggest roles. The networks and AP/Reuters might not offer videos with subtitles, and getting someone to edit the video with subtitles and then get it up on the web would slow it down (timeliness is big in news video) and add multiple people – and thus costs – to the process.
