Why don WWE take Gail Kim seriously?
As far as Vince McMahon (and by extension, the “WWE universe”) is concerned Gail Kim wrestled in the WWE for a short time several years ago (Vince would really rather we didn’t remember that) then disappeared. Vince managed to find her somewhere, apparently wasting her life, and brought her back to the WWE. TNA? What’s that? One way we can look at this is, Gail’s first run in the WWE was not very successful (despite having the Women’s Title put on her in her debut match). Due to an injury to Jazz they put that title on Gail before she was ready for it. She was still very green, prone to mistakes in the ring, and her performances, while enthusiastic, were not very polished. So the WWE released her to find employment in “lesser” promotions to gain experience and hone her craft. After a few years of that Vince feels she is ready to be a WWE wrestler again. But this is Vince McMahon we’re talking about. He’s a very spiteful man. Gail couldn’t “cut it” her first time around so he fired her.
