Why don’t we put signage on I-17 to direct people to Sedona through Cottonwood from SR 260 to SR 89A?
One of the principles of guide signing is to direct the motorist by the shortest and most logical route to destinations. This is a driver expectancy nurtured by the National Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and by policies developed by AASHTO and adopted by the Federal Highway Administration for guide signing on the Interstate Highway System. Violation of driver expectancies create disrespect for signing and consequently should be avoided.
