Why don they abolish the ubiquitous “Mc” prefix on Scottish surnames?

No Mc is an Irish equivalent of the Scottish Mac and is no more ubiquitious than Van in Holland, de in France or O’ in Ireland. Not everyone is just called Mc or Mac their Christian name plays a large part in their full name.
