Why don the TF30 / UV40 GPS modules have an antenna power pin ?

0

Antenna power is provided internally so 3.3V DC is always provided at the antenna connector. That means an active antenna must always be used with the TF30 and it must also be an antenna rated for 3V operation. A future revision of the UV40 miniature GPS module will include a second LNA on-board for use with a passive antenna.
