Why don the NutriSystem foods require refrigeration?
All of the NutriSystem foods are “packaged for portability” – a convenience that is very important when you’re losing weight. NutriSystem foods are sealed in their packaging prior to cooking to preserve all the important vitamins and minerals and keep them fresh until you open them. On average, the shelf life of NutriSystem meals and desserts is between 6-18 months and because of our “soft canning” process, none of our foods require refrigeration. They’re ready to go whenever, and wherever, you are.
