Why dont the government legalise cannabis?
I struggle to find the answer to this one. Sure, ‘If alcohol was discovered today, it would be a class A drug’, but surely the Government could reclassify it if it wanted to. I find alcohol a ludicrously dangerous drug to be so widely available, sugared-up and made to look like a kids’ drink. I agree that cannabis is dangerous and not the soft, all-happy drug that some make it out to be. My mental health has suffered massively as a result of psychedelic use and I have had seizures from smoking pot. I haven’t touched drugs for years and have no intentions of going there again. It’s not all good. I don’t think Alcohol is legal just because it is difficult to produce on your own whereas pot is simple – I think making your own alcohol is easy, beer and wine, lots of people do it. I just don’t know the answer to this one!
