Why don Super Natural Energy tea shots need preservatives?
The natural acidity and sugars in the fruit juice act as preservatives, and we flash pasteurize the finished product after the juice and tea are mixed. Finally, all the air is sucked out of the bottled before the cap is aseptically sealed, so the potency and fresh taste will last a year or more. What do you do with the used tea leaves? Being flash pasteurized means the juice and tea mix is heated up quickly to a high temperature, then immediately cooled so it doesn’t overcook. Then the bottles are cold-filled.
