Why don some english movies release at a same date world wide?
It’s a marketing decision to stagger the release dates of movies. Then movie executives don’t have to pay for promotions in so many different markets at the same time. They can use the proceeds from one market to pay for the promotion in another and the risk and cost outlay isn’t so much. The international markets for English language films are huge because that’s where they expect to pay for the costs of the films. The American and UK audiences alone don’t pay enough to cover the cost of making the film. Most films make almost all of their money from international broadcasting rights.
