Why don property developers float their own contracting companies?
Globally, it is not a practice for the developers to go downstream. On the contrary, there have been incidents when contractors have become developers. The developer can ideally think of buying out a contracting company and letting them work independently as a profit centre and give the developer a preferred treatment. Developers would rather go upstream and endeavor to become master developers. Do you have any IPO plans? Right now, we are not thinking seriously about an IPO.
