Why don’t politicians mention the Constitution or the Founders?
Have you noticed an absence of phrases like “as the Founders wrote” or “as we’re directed by the Constitution” from politicians these days. Hmmmm, I wonder why? Could it be that they no longer recognize the Constitution as authoritative? Is it possible they’ve strayed so far from the principles of the Republic that they no longer submit themselves to the authority of the Founders writings? I think so. Their silence is deafening. We’re living in surreal times, times where the “living” constitution has supplanted the real Constitution and it’s going to take some heavy lifting to get back on course, if that’s even possible. The 9th and 10th Amendments have been all but obliterated. What can you do? • READ the Constitution. Learn it, know it. • READ the Declaration of Independence.
