The Assault on Mt. Mitchell has always been intended as a club ride. Therefore, club members have the first chance at purchasing a ride number. In years past, the club has not had so many members as to fill the event (and many of us are volunteering along the course). This also allows new riders to try the event, as handing out over 2000 pass codes to previous year’s participants would mean the event would undoubtedly sell out before opening to the general public. This year the ride will be open to club members first and then on a first come first serve basis on February 15th.
