Why don people report sexual harassment?
There are many reasons why people don’t report sexual harassment. They are afraid of revenge, they don’t want to get the harasser in trouble, they don’t know it is illegal, or they don’t want to be seen as a snitch. Sometimes young people who have been sexually harassed think people won’t believe them, they think it is their fault, they think sexual harassment is a normal part of growing up or they don’t think the school will address the issue.
