Why don people know that it is inauspicious to view a solar or lunar eclipse?
It is true that ancient scriptures have described about eclipse and the bad luck it can bring. But one does not know exactly what proportion of bad luck one may have and the exact duration of time. So even if people undergo bad luck after viewing an eclipse it’s hard to document and this makes it difficult for people in this era to believe ancient scriptures. However one must not totally brush aside this fact but give it some consideration. Just because we don’t know something does not justify that, that particular phenomenon does not exist.
