Why don parents seem to teach their children manners anymore?
I know what you mean. I was at my son’s baseball banquet a few years ago and it was like sitting at a medieval banquet (this is not complimentary). Children as well as their parents were just grabbing the food off of the trays that were passed around (with bare hands even though there were serving spoons and forks available), the language was atrocious, and I swear, not one of them even heard of the word “manners” let alone knew what it means. It was a horrible sight. To answer your question, though, it’s hard for a parent to teach manners when they obviously have no concept of them themselves.
