Why don nonprofits recruit on campus?
Over 60 nonprofit and public service employers attend the Nonprofit/Public Service Job Fair held in Spring semester. Nonprofit organizations tend to have fewer staff members and smaller budgets than the majority of organizations that recruit on campus. They may hire 1-2 new hires a year, and cannot predict with the same regularity when they will need to hire. It’s not cost effective for nonprofits to come to campus for the on campus recruiting program, so interested students must take a more proactive approach to their job search.
