Why don my trailing petunias trail? They just grown upright?

My guess is that maybe the nursery tagged them wrong, or a customer mixed the tags up (which is very common, b/c i work at a garden center). However, if that isnt the case there can be two reason for this: 1- there not being enough sun so they are not trailing and they are just reaching for the sun. 2- Not enough fertilizer, they need to be fertilized once a week. Here is also another tip and I do it to my petunias when they stop trailing or just grow funny…I trim them so that they are about only 4 inches per stem. I know it will make them look a little funky for a couple days, but once they get their haircut they grow crazy and beautiful! Well, I hope this helps and good luck!
