Why dont more boxers try to adobt Muhammed Alis style of fighting?

The less boxers who try to emulate Muhammad Ali’s boxing style, the BETTER. There were a LOT of boxers who did try to emulate Muhammad Ali’s fighting style in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Most of them never reached primetime. These are the poor souls who thought that “rope a dope” is a brilliant tactic and that dancing and keeping your hands low is an example good defensive boxing. What these boxers failed to realize is that Ali’s style of fighting is not something that could or SHOULD be emulated by normal boxers. Guys like Muhammad Ali (and Roy Jones Jr.) are freakishly athletic which is why they can get away with thier unorthodox style of fighting. They are one of a kind. Its best to stick and IMPROVE on tried and true boxing fundamentals instead of emulating what they do.
