Why don mid ranking snooker players switch to pool in america and win more prize money?

I think the main reason is that victory is not automatic when snooker players try to play pool despite their enourmous sense of superiority. Pool requires a different skill set than does snooker. If pool was simply a matter of pocketing balls then it would be a different matter. As it is, only a handful of snooker players have proven to excel in pool: Allison Fisher, Tony Drago, etc. Pool requires knowledge of how to move the cue ball around heavy traffic, using controlled amounts of spin, using the entire pocket for position, breaking up clusters, etc. Not to mention, that technically snooker is a slop game. I’m not trying to say that snooker isn’t difficult so don’t fly off the handle, but I get really tired of snooker players thinking that they can just step up and wipe the floor with any pool player.
