Why Don’t Jazz Guitarists Have Nautical Star Tattoos And Other Tattoos?

0

When you look at the world of rock music, many musicians have everything from simple nautical star tattoos to ink covering every part of their visible (and no doubt not visible) bodies. However, jazz musicians do not have the same desire or need to decorate their bodies the way rockers and punks do. I think it all has something to do with the styles of music. Rock is loud, aggressive and in your face music played by look-at-me musicians. On the other hand, jazz can be called the thinking-man/woman’s music. An inward looking, dare I say it, self indulgent for of expression. It’s the music that matters… not the theatrics and extrovertism often associated with rock musicians and rock music.
