Because you didn’t really “try” them the way addicted people do. You need to get drunk, I mean drunk (not to the point of throwing up but definitely far from sober or tipsy) to enjoy drinking. You need to smoke cigarettes every day. People get addicted because they chose to, in all honesty. I made the decision to smoke with friends every day, and I have been for about a year, almost a pack a day. I am sort of addicted, I like smoking, that will never change, but I can quit any time I want to. I know most addicted people say this but really, I can quit for weeks without caring, and enjoy the times I do smoke still. Alcohol is a similar story. I really enjoy drinking. I used to drink every day before I went to college. At college, despite what most people think, I actually drank less. Maybe 1-2 days per week. Toward the end of the semester I actually didn’t feel like drinking sometimes. Addiction is largely mental in my opinion. Some people are more susceptible than others but I think th
