The whole problem with research is the funding is expected to come from the people that manufacture the products / make the remedies. Just like a company that is allowed to choose its own independent auditors selects an “independent Auditor” that allows it accounts to look more favourable businesses that commission research hire companies which help them get the results they want by experiment design and methodology. Having a truely independent centralised system where all medicines / Alt-med therapies are tested centrally funded would be the ideal scenario. If this was the case Prozac almost certainly wouldn’t have hit the market and many other drugs would more than likely have a more difficult time passing trials. There is a lot of research for homeopathy but anyone who doesn’t support it claims it is “unscientific” or “biased”. In reality it is virtually impossible to completely eliminate bias so which ever camp you belong to if you don’t like the research you can refute it for this
