Why don’t collective buying sites share email addresses with the local merchants?
– From the collective buying site’s perspective, they want to protect their subscribers’ privacy. Sharing these email addresses not only violates their privacy policy but if they were to do this, they would most likely lose subscribers which is the core of their business. If you consider that the number of email messages a single subscriber would receive from all the merchants they’ve purchased vouchers for it the problem of sharing email addresses with local business partners becomes apparent.
