Why Don Celebrities Ever Sue South Park or Family Guy?
I’ve always thought the same thing. I’d be mad if someone said that on a TV show about me. The way they keep from gettin sued though is b/c they metion at the beginning or end of the episode that nothing in the show is real and whatnot, You can barely read it b/c they don’t keep it on for long, but they do post it so everything they say is legal. That’s on Southpark anyways. On Family guy, the cartoon characters are actually played by the real actor/actress being made fun of, look it up, it’s true. They use the real actor/actress’s voices. So i’m sure if they agreed to do voice for the episode, they knew what it was about and i’d be pretty hard to sue. And with all the people saying that they can say whatever they want b/c of “freedom of speech” that is way off base, Freedom of speech and slander are two different things, freedom of speech allows you to express how you feel about things, not degrade and make up lies about people that could ruin their reputation!
