Why don birds get electrocuted on power lines?
Contact must be made between a power line and something that is connected to the earth.Then the electric current passes through the bird. In instances involving those big lines high above on steel towers that carries such Strong current that something several feet from both the line and the metal can receive enough electricity to kill.
well I am not sure they don’t as I remember on day I was at my daughters sports day some 16 years ago and by the school there are pyelons and overhead lines we were watching the kids and all of a sudden there was a bang and seven pidgeons hit the ground, myself and the teachers were shocked as like others here could not understand how it happened as no one saw anything
