Why don’t all the states use the same numerical score?
States are responsible for regulating their professionals as they see fit. While using the same numerical score would certainly make things more understandable, the fact that states use different scales does not alter the number of questions you need to answer correctly in order to pass. This is set nationally, and the state scales are just that—different scales that describe the same passing point.
