This is likely because the option in Preferences is set to Common, which is the default when GneissWare Mineral Catalog is first installed. Check the Status Line at the bottom of the Main Window — if the word “COMMON” is present then only those minerals marked as Common will be displayed. This option allows a subset of about 500 minerals to be displayed, which generally speeds up selection of a particular mineral from the list. To display all minerals, go to the Files menu and select Preferences. Uncheck the Common Minerals Only option, and select Ok.
